Cracked my knee a good one, bet that's a mess in the morning. Monitoring for whiplash but luckily sorted 99% of the insurance guff out so less stress. Only a 30mph shunt but gotta check myself over when I get up.

Just more gutted about losing my car. Second time in 3 months I've lost it and this time it's permanent. Not good.

You can always badly signal King's Cross on SimSig to cheer you up. ;)

I have become single again, I was dating a girl for a few months and she ended it yesterday which was like a punch in the gut. Things finally seemed to be going in the right direction, I got the house from my ex, started doing it up and my confidence was sky high and I really liked her. It has felt like a huge step back and I've gone from being ready to attack and get stuff done in my life to wanting to wallow and not wanting to get out of bed

Sorry to hear that mate, stay strong. :(

Sorry to hear @Tibble. I've been in your shoes many times. I was 37 when I met Jess, she is the best thing that has happened to me. As horrible as it was going through my two messy divorces and other break ups with girl friends in between, I now look back and think, I'm glad that I did go through everything that I did, I'm would have never met Jess my wife, all my ex's did me a big favour.

I was lucky to have kept my home through both divorces and manage to have custody of all 3 of my kids from both marriages.

Keep your chin up, when the right girl comes along, you will know and she will be worth it.

Have some self believe and up your self worth, it worked for me

This afternoon I had a breakdown, as everything finally got to me.
I've disabled my Discord account so I can have a break, as some of the issues stemmed from there, but I just wish lockdown would end now. I haven't seen my best friend in person for over a year, and if the current vaccine issues cause the lockdown-easing to be delayed, I don't know how I'll cope. :(

Keep your chin up @Skyscraper. We are all riding the same storm here. I've been shielding for a year now. Apart for getting the jab, Jess and I haven't left our home for a year now. We haven't been able to see our or cuddle our family. I've yet to meet my grandson. I've not been able to go to any theme parks in the last year and haven't made any plans for this year. I'm just taking each day as it comes. As Captain Tom Moore would say, "tomorrow will be a better day and things will get better, they always do"

There is light at the end of the tunnel, we all just need to hold tight and be patient, we will get there in the end

Keep going bud, It has been a long time but we are so close to the end. Half of UK adults are vaccinated and the majority of those who are classed as high risk have had the first vaccination which gives great protection against hospitalisation for the virus. That is such a win!

It is only natural to have down days, weeks because this is so against the status quo and we have gone from freedoms to scratching the walls. But remember soon enough we will be looking back at this and reminiscing.

Keep going, you've got this!

Be safe in the knowledge that we are all feeling the same way. It's just unusual to live this way and I have had really low moments over last 12 months like I imagine many people have had.

Lockdown needs to end now though. It's gone on way too long and it's causing lots of other issues like rise in domestic abuse and increased mental health issues. And the R number is still 0.7 to 0.9 right now so Lockdown clearly isn't even working that well anyway. Clearly lots of people are carrying on as they were pre lockdown.

It's time to end the madness now. Close to 30m jabbed now too. We can't hide from this forever and put millions out of work.

The other issues are less of an issue than being dead, don't you think?

It's one hell of a leap to say an R number of just under 1 shows 'lockdown' in its current form isn't working without making any consideration of what it might be without the measures. More than 1, clearly, which would see the virus and pandemic still in growth. We've seen how that works out, haven't we?

4% of the population have been fully immunised. To go through what we have and throw it away now when there is genuine hope within view because of thinking like this would really make me feel down.

I know it's a little difficult as things leak into the other, but if we could keep this topic as a place for people to vent and get support from other members. Discussion about individual subjects such as Coronavirus should be in their relevant topic. It's great to see everyone's views, but it's easier to read when they're all in one place. Thanks :)

Unfortunately covid 19 is a big part of why members are venting.
I am sick to the back teeth of the virus. My mental health has taken a battering this last 12 months.
We are all in the same storm. Usually a different part of the storm though.

I am now massively regretting starting the "climate change" thread

Lively discussion is a good thing, otherwise the forum would be a damn boring place - embrace it :). While you may read other people's views as a dig at you personally, that's not the case. It's simply that people can be passionate about a subject especially when it comes to something like climate change.
