Disneyland Paris: General Discussion

It reminds me of a cross between the Haunted House finale music and Paint the Night Parade.

Not sure I'm as fond of it as I was Magic Everywhere and Do You Believe from the 20th Anniversary, I think California got a better collection for their 60th.

On another note god help the people who have to dance along to that.

Not a huge fan of that tune but that's probably partly because the 20th anniversary songs were so good!

Anway, major news coming out of DLP today. The Walt Disney Company now want to gain full ownership of of the resort; they have aquired a 9% stake in EuroDisney SCA from Kingdom Holding Company which takes their overally stake to 85.7%. This has been done for €2 per share and they are offering that price for all remaining shares as well.

Disney are also prepared to support another recapitalisation of up to €1.5 billion for EuroDisney in order to continue implementation of improvements to Disneyland Paris, reduce debt and increase liquidity.

More about this news can be read on Bloomberg.

:)

In much less major but equally welcome news, Five Guys is opening in Ney Village.

Instantly the best food choice in the Village.

I never realised that you were part of the club! I'll stick to 'Nalds.

:)
Nowhere near as bad as you, admitedly. But anyone who was at Phantasialand in 2015 will be able to confirm I spent the whole first night throwing up thanks to a curry cooked in nut oil. :(

Oh I don't know. If Buzz does indeed get a Star Wars retheme, then with any luck it'll be called "Han vs Greedo: Who Shot First?" :D

And I can't wait to try the various rethemes.
• Han vs Greedo: It Was Han.
• Han vs Greedo: No wait, Greedo
• Han vs Greedo: ???
And my personal favourite.
• Han vs Greedo vs The Gruffalo.

Next you'll be saying you didn't have a problem with the scene in the Star Trek reboot that showed the Enterprise being built on the ground!

Wait...That looks awfully like where the Buzz Lightyear ride is...Oh no...
Nope, it's just replacing the existing Star Tours attraction at the back of Discovery Land, the x-wing is on top of the building that used to be the small Star Wars shop and is now going to be a meet and greet photo location.

Does anybody know if Disneyland is doing its Swing into Spring event this year? Or has it just been dropped for the 25th Anniversary?

It seems that the 25th Anniversary is taking priority (for the most part at least). However, they'll apparently still be celebrating spring time, presumably with the usually decorations, and odd parade here and there.
At least I haven't got to sit through that bloody spring song every half hour.

Anyone else getting a bit tired of DLP constantly celebrating every 5 year anniversary... and making it last 5 years?

Mind you, I suppose they don't have a lot else to shout about...
