Thorpe Park: General Discussion

Thorpe's map never made sense, I dont see why they dont do the style of alton tower's map, it would work really well for Thorpe. They seem to forget a map is to navigate the park, this looks like it would make a first time visitor lost. It doesnt tell you or give any idea where a queue starts, and rush is gone?

Swarm's queueline TVs were frozen and off yesterday :( Stealth, Slammer, Ghost Train and I'm a celebrity unavailable, which is awkward when you have to walk through the I'm a celebrity shop on exit from a different ride.

I think it's quicker to list what IS open at Towers and Thorpe so far this season than it is to list what isn't.

Popped along to thorpe today, 8 rides closed none of them I cared about still 18 others to go on, park is looking really nice, must say out of all the merlins I enjoyed thorpe the most. Also nice to see they finally have a app!!! Oh and managed to get my game bundle vouchers no problems today, can't argue with paying £20 and getting £60 back

Looks like Thorpe was a complete shambles today. Gates closed this morning, many rides down most of the day, free return tickets being handed out. Anybody been there today?

AT 10am, Colossus, Saw, Swarm, Stealth, DBGT, Slammer, Rapids, Tidal and IAC were all closed. Most rides gradually opened over the day, but we gave up mid afternoon. They'd clearly reduced the park capacity due to the closed rides (the car park was far from full) and letters were being handed out at the exit for free return visits due to the shambles.

How come queues at Thorpe park seem to be consistently longer than at Towers? Is it because of ride efficiency, or general number of people in the park etc? E.g. Today it's school holidays countrywide (I think!) and Thorpe has queues over an hour for all coasters (100mins for inferno!), yet Towers coaster queues are all under an hour (with virtually all under 30mins!)
