3 years ago I broke my hand getting on spinball, I was out of action for the best part of 2 weeks, realistically could I of complained to the park? I wasn’t doing anything stupid at the time unlike when I pulled my wrist on nemesis in 2011 where I will admit I was planking around.

The tragic events at Drayton are still reverberating through the industry with HSE (still) working with all parks with rapids rides - it's quite involved.

The relatively straightforward operation of these devices that went on for decades is now much more difficult.

That said, you have to think that the demise of the Log Flume works in favour of the rapids. Merlin don't really have form when it comes to removing large infrastructure laden rides like the CRR.

Oh, they won't remove the rapids.

... They'll just quietly close it and leave it sitting SBNO for the better part of a decade. At this rate, probably before the season is out.

One time I was hit by a nettle on TH13TEEN and now I've got lasting trauma from the incident and think all the greenery in the park should be chopped

I don't understand how you even cut your head open on a ride where you don't have a headrest or anything to hit it on unless you physically turned around and launched your head into the middle of the boat

Sorry, but I'm really going to have to speak my mind here! You may be lucky enough to be born in good health. But there are plenty of people out there that are born with medical conditions or through no fault of their own has been involved in life changing accidents. These people may be the minority, but how ignorance of people like you that think that people who have difficulties accessing facilities whilst out and about should not have things put in place, not privileges just basic access to places that able bodied people just simply take for granted. May not be a real issue to you, but one day, something unimaginable may happen to you and you may end up in a wheelchair or with a life changing disability, then you will see things from a whole different perspective. Disable people have enough challenges accessing just the basic things in life without having to deal with the prejudice of other people.

I'm on your side. That's exactly the point I was making. Sorry for offending

That would cost money.

They could roof over the trough and install an actor intensive walk through attraction that closes after two years though.
(If this happens I expect royalty payments).
Or Add a simple coaster and call it space trip.
Or bring back a classic attraction, the bobsleigh sledge thing i rode in the eighties using the dried out trough
They won't do that. Remember the health and safety issues of a non rail guided ride.

Good start at Towers this morning. On monorail for 8.35. Gates open at 9. Wicker opens at 9.25. Rode Wicker by 9.35. Head to Nemesis and get that done by 10.08. Start thinking to myself "What's everyone been moaning about with the queues"? Reckon I can show people how to get a load of rides in without any queue jumping.

Errrrr, NO! Get to Smiler at 10.35 and it's on a 60 minute queue. CHILDREN EVERYWHERE. Oblivion queue looks rammed. Towers must be seriously coining it in this year.

Queues at Towers over 25 mins are too much for me so I'm off to the box office to renew my annual pass with Clubcard vouchers, grab a few new pins, then adios Towers. See you nearer winter when the madness has ceased I tell thee! Be gone cruel queues and crowds! I'm off to look at some crags or scenery or something with a nice cold beverage.

I think we're at the point where weekends are going to have less queues.
