The I Feel Down Topic.

It could be connect to a problem with the inner ear, as the Posterior, anterior and Horizontal semicircular canals are. They are part of the system that deal with balance. If you have an ear infection it can cause false signals that causes dizziness and/or tinnitus.

If you have banged your head you can have a short term vertigo type problem due to small particles coming loose during impact. these particles then move in the canals causing the signals of movement to be generated.

Just a couple of thoughts on your dizzinessto scare you for you to think about.

I've had my ears checked, and they're fine. I've also not banged my head, and this has been happening since August.

I'm sick of my dizzy spells. At first, I thought it was my anti-androgens, but it turned it my hormone levels are perfectly fine. Then I thought it might be something that could be tested with my blood - like diabetes or anaemia - but my blood test results were apparently really good. Then I thought it could be related to stress - after all, my previous job was stressful beyond belief. But now I have a newer, more relaxing job I still have to take breaks because I'm dizzy. Frankly, I'm starting to get worried. There must be a reason behind what's happening.

I have been getting Dizzy spells for a while now, I walked down stairs earlier and nearly collapsed for no reason, it was enough for me to stumble back for a few steps and have to standstill for 5 mins.....

Have you perhaps changed your diet slightly? less sugar, caffeine or something?

I believe mine is down to diet as I have started eating lunch again..

I've had to take months off school which isn't really ideal as I have exams coming soon, but I can't go in and suffer multiple panic attacks in front of everyone. I have councellors, therapists, GP's etc but none of them are helping and no one is putting any effort in to help my education. Each day I spend at home desperately trying to get somewhere with my life, but everything gets on top of me and I just have to give up before something happens. It's tough to get the right treatment as I'm too 'young'. I feel like my life is completely wasting away as I'm an aspiring B-A* student, which clearly isn't going to happen now. Lifelong dreams of being an engineer or astronomer are crushed.
I'm sick of hurting myself or trying to end it all, but I'm desperately holding on because of the few friends on here that I have. Medication, therapy, councelling.. nothing works. It's an endless loop of that's getting tighter and tighter.
I get told to move schools, or to talk to my parents, or just 'be happy and ignore the voices'. I simply can't move school or afford to get home schooled, I really do not have the best relationship with either parent and it's difficult to concentrate on thing when your problems have completely taken over.
What the actual fudge do I do with my life? I mentally can not do anything without ending up in a shaking, sodden wreck with people staring at me.. watching.

I'm sorry for being a poor excuse of a 'human'.

I feel utterly isolated in everyday life....I am more socially connected with the people on here than 99% of my peers.

I know that feeling, PT :( **hugs**

Have some hugs back **hugs**

All the people on here are great but in everyday life I have few good friends, and quite a large percentage of them I can only contact through the medium of text and rarely see. Thankfully when the show season starts again I will get to see one of them a bit more

Sounds exactly like me, Tom. I've only known people on here for not much more than eighteen months, yet I feel that I've formed better connections and friendships with people on here than I have in real life. I just don't feel I've made any real friendships with people on my degree, although I know people well enough to make small talk with them. Not having seen anyone on here since November is annoying, but it's my fault for choosing to go to a uni that's so far away from Towers and anywhere else in the UK. I'm just glad I'm moving to Biddulph in the summer and will be doing my final year in Exeter.

Can I just point out mate, that I am not known to "suffer fools" - and believe me, over the course of my life thus far, I have met more than I care to imagine.

Only those individuals of the very finest vintage are offered lifts in The Man Bus.

Chill out man, you are normal, it just happens that the kinds of people you enjoy mixing with are fewer and farther between than every day life - hence you end up here. (Oh, and get used to that by the way, you seek friends with a wider interest in life than sitting in front of a TV watching soaps etc)

Nothing wrong with that mate, it just happens to be a result of the type of individuals you choose to call friends and enjoy spending time with.

These are your peers, and you get on with them perfectly fine. You're a great lad, so stop being a turnip. ;)

I've messed up my Science ISA which could mean that I get put on double science instead of triple.

I put that the higher the temperature of the liquid, the higher its viscosity, when it should've been 'the lower its viscosity', but I managed to explain it all correctly for if I'd wrote 'the lower its viscosity'.

This has made me panic now as I got 17/20 on the first exam, so I was on track for a high grade, but because of this stupid error which has appeared in most of my answers, I fear that I may not even get a C now as the grade boundaries are 30/50 for a C, 35 for a B, 40 for an A, and 45 for an A* (I think), so if I score low on this exam, it will ruin my chances of getting a good GCSE.

I know that this may only be a small thing, but it's really got me worrying. The only thing that makes me slightly happier is that I've pretty much secured 7 marks on the second paper, so I would only need 6 more to get a C. However, this is only a small consolation as my target is an A so it will look bad on my record.

Firstly, don't ISA's have a really small percentage total on the final GCSE? I think it's something like 10%, nothing really to worry about. Secondly, well for our school, we did several ISA's, and only one counts for each science. So you should do an ISA for each band of science for Chemistry, Biology and Physics, and they would take the best result out of those- as that's what they did at my school.

I'm pretty sure it's nothing to be worried about, but if you're at all concerned, ask your teacher if there's anything you can do about it.

I suck at ISA's. I really do. But double won't stop you getting far, double science is accepted at Sixth Form or college so don't worry. I have an EMPA coming up (which is the alternative to ISAs) so know how you feel!

I think I messed up on 3/4 questions, but I don't really know. I just hope that it isn't that bad.

Nick- Thanks for that, and I do hope that it will be like that as it would be so much of a relief to me if they took my best score, as Chemistry is my worst subject out of the three sciences.

Tom- I do know that, but when you want a job in engineering, it would look good to have a triple science qualification.

i feel very down at the moment after being layed off from my job and having serious thoughts about other things too to do with my life. Need a change of pace and direction

I wish you luck in your change gazag, and am sorry to hear you have been laid off work.
