But it wouldn't. It's been said by me and others before but if Baco was smooth it would just be a very fast but boring coaster, that layout is uninspired and does nothing.

Ive never understood the argument about Baco's layout. At those speeds I dont know what other layouts you'd get away with. It couldn't have sharp turns and drops.
 
i305 looks damn sexy.

Something like that layout, anything in fact lol, after the top hat would have been pretty brilliant.

In contrast, look at the bloke on the left side of the train, in the middle on Baco LOL! :eek::tearsofjoy:

Baco is just poorly designed all round; it's too fast for a winged coaster meaning that it shakes you around a lot and the layout has to be limited. There is a reason that Baco is the only Intamin wing coaster ever built! Intimidator 305 on the other hand is brilliant!

Anyway, even though discussion about Baco is a popular topic on the forum it's not massively related to this Ferrari Land. As Alistair said, that debate can be continued over in the PA General Discission thread.

Going back to Ferrari Land, here is another photo showing the dodgy track work on the coaster:

God knows how it has ended up like that, it surely shouldn't be hard to fabricate straight bi-rail track these days!

Why on Earth are they using bi-rail at all on a ride that will be going this fast?
 
To be fair, Top Thrill Dragster used bi-rail and the track is perfectly straight:

Really? I mean, I know it's perfectly fine for low speed sections, but I would have thought TTD would be mostly tri-rail.
Never mind. I'll see myself out....
 
The last thing you want when hitting the bottom of a 100mph drop is to hit a sustained section of outrageously jolty track, it'll shatter every bone available. I don't understand how a coaster like Taron can look so smooth but this looks agonising.
 
How is that track so bent?!

I couldn't actually see it at first, then when it caught my eye it's staggering!!

I guess the actual stress on the track isn't they high, considering it's just traveling in a straight line?
 
Guys...this will turn out to be an optical illusion for shure ! First it`s VERY unlikely that Intamin produces and delivers track pieces that are supposed to be straight when they are actually not. And second : I`ve seen optical illusions like this before...pictures can be deceiving if you look at a longer distances with temperature changes :) (sorry...kind of hard for me to explain as english is not my mother language)

EDIT : Now that`s interesting: Someone in another forum wrote, that the reason could be the way that those pictures were compressed. Don`t know...but still...I guess the actual track IS straight ;)

Don't worry, this all makes perfect sense. No this day and age and with a company of Intamin's experience and expertise, s bent track would not be conceivable.

However, is it 100% going to be Intamin? Or are we all just assuming?
 
Who in their right mind uses parcel tape to stick a sign on newly painted metal work? That's what Gaffa is for!
