That hole is becoming very deep now! You know when the Black hole was being built on that same area, they moved something like 250,000 tons of earth, yes? Well now they're moving 250,000 tons more! ;)

I think the pit is for an upside down loop, as mentioned before by others, except people can stand by the track and high-five you as you go along! Or, the riders can slap people while going by! :p

Yes I did indeed mention aliens, I've always had X Sector as a more futuristic sci-fi area than anything else. I don't see it as industrial, but instead more of a link between our world and another, our world and oblivion.

Personally I think the bread and butter, track and rails will more than make up for any theme shortcomings. Although I'd still like to see an alien, if only just a small one.

Oblivion is an experiment. It's got nothing to do with aliens. X-Sector is a government/military research instillation.

Aliens just would not suit it at all, it's just stretch things too far. There's plenty of aliens in Forbidden Valley, we don't need no more. :)

Heres some imagery I think might kinda sum up SW7.

Would you believe that these are actual photos of a turbine research facility? Ok they have been photoshopped but this place actually exists!

I think you get the idea and it kinda fits in with the run down theme the designs show. Inside there is some kind of experiment that use to take place and now you find yourself a part of it.

From what i can see, The Santuary will be a prequel / backstory to SW7. Because of the x sector human experimenting thing which the new maze is themed on, i think we can expect to see sw7 be themed like an abandoned experiment facility set in the future where you are experimented on.

Whatever the new ride will be , it willl be awesome. Alternitively, it could be ''They said oblivion was too loud and ground shaking. they lied their hardest to get what they want. Now......we fight back. Revenge for the Ropers - coming 2013.'' ;D

Goold 'ole Pyestock :D Thoroughly recommend reading up on it for anyone vagulely interested in UrbExing, or abandoned research facilities, or that general kinda thing.

Back on topic, YES, that's the kinda look that SW7 needs. Maybe not the massive scale of everything at Pyestock - at the end of the day, they were testing gas turbines, whereas SW7 is/was a human research facility, but definitely that kinda "once state-of-the-art, cutting-edge, but abandoned for many years, and run-down" look.

By upside down loop, do we mean something like this (see attached image when approved)? Has this been done anywhere else? It could also be marketed as the world's first 360 degree/steepest drop couldn't it?

I'm guessing people mean something whereby the track is going straight, it then begins to drop, in a continual curve before eventually curving under itself and back up. I'm not sure how the forces would work, but with lapbars I imagine it would be incredibly intense.

What I meant by upside down loop was something like this:

Obviosly it would have to be controlled by brakes/magnets for most of it but it would count as a world first wouldn't it? And there could be all sorts of affects taking place when your at the bottom of it. :)

TBH i think it would be pretty awesome! And would fit in the space under the station! Though wouldnt want to ride after I've just eaten :-[

To be honest, they essentially exist already in my eyes in the form of pretzel loops on B&M flyers.

Though doing that in a sitting down position, would be rather intense!

Back row on Manta through the pretzel loop is already intense enough as it is!

Maybe a very small non inverting loop, such as that on HRRR might fit the hole?

Perhaps, but we will never know.

The smaller it is, the larger the G's as the turning circle is tighter, Obviously this is also dependent on speed. But it can't be to large as it will take up to much space.

I will also point out this is a highly unlikely and too specific worlds first. It's fine as an idea, but don't dwell on it as we have no confirmation about it what so ever.

Am I the only one who can see it being nothing more than a tight drop down into a standard barrel roll a bit like Saw? Thats assuming its actually for the start of the ride and not just to facilitate supports for the large inversion next to it.

I'd like to see if anyone can confirm where exactly this hole is in relation to the plans. If it's directly under the station then I think it might be reasonable to assume that something will be going in that hole more than we have previously anticipated, there is enough room for a SAW style roll in the building above ground level, so there wouldn't be the need for this excavation.

If you look at the recreation made, you will see that actually one of the rides inversion is literally right next to the station building. This is making me more and more convinced that part, if not all of that hole is for this inversion.

Would obviously like to point out that the recreation may not be accurate, but I'm sure it gives a good idea of the layout.
