Just an advance heads up - I've had a message from one of my old CF friends who wanted some company at Alton on Sunday - I warned her we were on en masse, but said she'd be welcome to join the group for a day.
She has a couple of posts on here, and has met a couple of you briefly before, and in the interests of proving a point, I assured her you'd all be your usual warm, welcoming TST selves

Thanks Will, now I feel properly introduced. Very much looking forward to officially saying goodbye to the off-season (that sneaky trip to Twinlakes was a good start but I'm hearing the call of Uttoxeter).

Look forward to meeting you all. Promise I'll try and be as minimal a burden as possible.

We'll make sure you get on it, it's nothing to worry about, I was a bit scared when I first went on, but surrounded by TST members shouting guilty! I ended up laughing more than being scared.

If you're concerned just lean forwards and stick your legs out once you have dropped until you're back in the main room. You will avoid them this way

I've been asked to work the weekend now, but seeing as I have moved a little closer to the resort it does technically make Marg's my "local", so will anybody be heading up there for a few drinks Saturday evening?

Really want to go on this meet on Saturday, only just found out I've got the day off.
Does anyone live near Preston? If so I'd be happy to split petrol money with anyone? This would be my 1st ever meet. And really want to go.

As long as your sensible when you need to be, I don't think you will, plenty of people, just don't be afraid of talking to people!

Yeah I'm quite a sensible/mature guy for my age apparently. I'm not afraid of talking to people, but I don't like just walking up to people and introducing myself. Especially when I don't know them!

Just a reminder - if you're coming all day, the meeting point is 8:30am at the Splash Landings Hotel Lobby! We will then be taking the Monorail to the park entrance, and heading in fro 9:00am.

If you're arriving later than this time, then please get a contact number for a member of the group.

The accommodation for this meet is Rugeley Travelodge. I would imagine that on Saturday, most people will head there because otherwise those driving cannot properly relax, and also, by the time the park has closed, people will start wanting to freshen up and have dinner.

Saying that, there may be some people hang around, but usually it's the Sunday where people may socialise for an hour after park close in the hotels.
