2020 Info: Due to the on-going pandemic restrictions the hotel complex will remain closed this Christmas. The silver lining? On selected dates through to the new year the park will be open for paying day guests from the local area.
The theme park throws open its doors to guests this Christmas, with a range of children’s rides open in CBeebies Land to entertain the little ones, along with Santa.
Due to current restrictions, for 2020 the theme park will be open to paying day guests for the first time in many years, though due to the pandemic tier system only guests from the local area are currently able to enjoy the park. Two types of ticket are available for the event: Festive Day Out tickets, which include a visit to Santa’s grotto, and Twinkling Stars tickets, which just offers access to the rides and gardens.
Magic descends on Alton Towers for the season with hundreds of Christmas trees and yards of decorations across the park. The areas around the park entrance and the Towers are open for the event, with the following rides and attractions on offer:
Towers Street, The Towers and Adventure Land
As always, Towers Street is where the magic begins and in winter the whole area is filled with Christmas trees! Once darkness falls the trees are lit up with hundreds of Christmas lights.
Heading out into the theme park both Spinball Whizzer is available for festive fun.
