>The Alton Towers theme park throws open its doors to a select few guests staying at the resort for the Christmas events, with a range of children’s rides open to entertain the little ones, along with Santa residing in CBeebies Land.
The magic of Alton Towers is brought to life over the course of the event with hundreds of Christmas trees and yards of decorations across the park. The event is located in the areas around the park entrance and throughout these areas, the majority of rides and attractions are open for families to enjoy.
Towers Street and Adventure Land
Here, as always, is where the magic begins! After getting your bus from the hotels to the park, you enter as you normally would through the main turnstiles. There is however a notable difference between Christmas and the main season, as the whole area is filled with Christmas trees! Once darkness falls the trees are lit up with hundreds of Christmas lights.

Over in Mutiny Bay the Pirates have gotten into the Christmas spirit, and you can take a spin on Mauraders Mayhem or set sail on Heave Ho.
Also don’t forget to escape the cold by taking a tour of Sharkbait Reef by SEALIFE. It will certainly be one of the quietest times to enjoy the aquarium, allowing you to take your time and see all of the exhibits.
Alternatively take a stroll down the Haunted Hollow and have a blast on Duel, which is joining the winter festivities for the first time in many years.
