2014 saw CBeebies Land arrive at Alton Towers to house a host of popular Children’s TV characters. The new land brings together the former Old MacDonald’s Farmyard with Storybook Land, to breath a new life into this corner of the park.

Built in 1980, Corkscrew was the ride that marks the beginning of the theme park that we know today.
Transformed by the Fabled Folk, watch as a quiet glade alongside the Alton Towers Hotel became a bustling village for the 2015 season.

Born in 2008, Mutiny Bay was a re-theme of the previous Merrie England area of the park.

We do look down… into the pit of Oblivion, as we take a look at the construction SW4 as the former Fantasy World is converted into the top secret research facility that is the X Sector.
Hot on the heals of the grand opening of CBeebies Land, 2015 sees the new area expand to include a children’s coaster on the former site of the Beastie in Adventure Land.
Situated within Mutiny Bay, this attraction lets you get up close and personal with a whole host of sea creatures.

The Smiler – Alton Towers’ biggest ever construction project! Have a look at it’s mammoth construction period, but be careful it doesn’t marmalise you along the way!
